Really nothing of note tomorrow. I'm going to play along the same lines as today and go with a Munakata/Tanaka combination. Today's 2nd race was a major " steam" horse for his regular jockey and with Take Yutaka's mount providing a perfect anchor for the birthday boy, it provided one hell of a trifecta present for the both of them. I most definitely should have pounced on it much more. A very rare opportunity and especially one that was so easy to spot.

I decided to stick with proven dirt runners in this race and eliminate #4 and #13. Earlier on this year I made a conscious decision to shade Ikee's horses when appropriate, thus will not include #11. So, with a little bit extra on SILK FORTUNE, I will run with a ten ticket trio box.

Today going with two plays both in the 9th races. Shiny Dandy is getting 20-1 after two " off the board" races in a higher class. I'm not sure why the drop in odds since he was competitive relative to his morning line of those races. Kokura's Believe Mine came in 4th last time out but looks to be better here.

Doing the math on this race ( yes, pun intended) I don't detect any particular speed advantage for Archimedes, but I'm loving the connections. Looking at the 3yr old classic race nominee list for Darley Farms and Sheik Mohammed, this horse is pretty much their last chance. Stablemate #1 Snowdon hasn't shown any type of potential dominance in a Graded race yet, so reiterating my point; connections factor big here. Also, a trainer( Fujiwara) without a classic horse thus far and a horse who came in 4th to Trip back in December, a horse which I feel will become one of the favorites going ahead further in the Spring meet.

Kokura 11 Race...#9 Expedition ..This horse was my first wager of the year ( and first loss) back in the Kinpai Stakes in Nakayama. It was the first time at the Tokyo track, though not embarrassed he managed an uneventful 5th. Now back in Kokura, Expedition has hit the boards five out of seven career starts including four straight up wins. A wager that the good results can continue here.
