October 17th

BEST BET*** Tokyo 7th Race....#1 CRAWFORD...Her last two races were finishes of 9th and 7th but yet she has morning odds of 6.7. It would seem the odds should be higher however this Sunday Racing Co horse had promising numbers as a 2yr-old which until now haven't carried over into her 3yr campaign. Generally weak field here to give her a greater chance at re- discovering her talents.

The Wager. #1 with 8,11,13,14,15,18 ¥2000 Each-Way Exacta

Kyoto

11 Race ( Shuka Sho)

A very unimaginative 5 horse box with #3 as a stronger play

The Wager 3,4,5,9,15 Each-Way Exacta ¥1000 ( except the four tickets with #3 at ¥2000 ( 28 tickets)

Left out the 2 favorites in the Kyoto 9th but it was a 18-1 horse that busted my box play. Robert..try Gallop.com.ne,jp for early odds..especially G1s because they figure Saturdays handle into the odds..newapapers cant do this because of deadline restrictions...Tomorrow I would like to see Appane disappoint again and get a good return but i cant bet against her. * you playing this one Sean?

Cheers Keith! The number 3 horse,eh? I just don't see it. I think it is better suited for shorter distances... No love for the 13 horse? Totally unproven, but it has posted some pretty respectable times over 2000 metres.

Hey robert..I agree moon has shown her stuff at 1600..but i believe its easier for a good miler to win at a longer distance than a horse running longer at a shorter..13# its difficult to say but in 8 races she has never had the best stretch time in a race which is always a good indicator for me to run well at Fuchu..i dont know what newspaper u use but most of them print the fastest times in Bold black...13 is interesting because my data base has Ando only 9 mounts with this trainer which is very insignificant...no wins..1 second...3 thirds...but in a strange way somewhat interesting.

#17 wild raspberry has the fastest stretch time of all the horses..but its not a usual thing with her since that previous race was the first time for it to happen..but the question arises "was it just a one shot deal" or at only 3 yrs-old is she improving and can thus duplicate the number,,,no idea!! This is why I prefer the older G1 races..once form has been established and then u can handicap by recent performances..these 3yr olds are tough to guage

Cheers again Keith! Just wondering if you think the strech times are a better indicator for success at Fuchu(longer home stretch) compared to the Kyoto track? I think that you (or maybe it was Sean??)said in a previous post that the final turn was key to winning at the Kyoto track.
Cheers!

Guys, I think this race (the Shuka Sho) is for suckers - it's just too difficult - but I'm gonna have a go at it of course. Can't bet against Apapane but I will be a little adventurous. #15 with 4, 8, 13, and 17. (Robert, horses coming from the Shion Stakes usually don't fare well here but I think 13 has a legitimate chance. Having said that this is the kind of race that can make one look pretty foolish...good luck.)

9-15 exacta getting 48-1. I'm gonna buy me a little insurance. (I'm not sure Agnes will get a smooth trip though...)

Nothing exciting to write about concerning todays results..the tokyo 7th race payout was off the charts but it didnt include carwford unfortunately ..these sunday racing co horses dont run thru any sorta of dry spell for to long so will probably be right back at her when she comes around again...shuka-sho..not much to take away except that Goto's confidence in G1s is getting stronger starting with Rose Kingdom in the derby and later the nhk mile..this coming from a jockey who won only one main race in 09!!..Robert..betting 2 games tomorrow..Dallas and the 49ers

Well, I came home a little up, but it was definitely a day of the favs...
Hope that you boys did well overall. Let's hit it hard next Sunday!

Apapane and the winner of the Rose Stakes finish one two...I was prepared for almost any result - except the most obvious one. 0 for two in the fall G1s. Next week seems to be winnable but 3000m sometimes produces surprising results. But yeah, let's hit it hard.

I actually won like 500 yen in the G1. :) 15-10 was an insurance bet, but I didn't see the most obvious result actually happening either... I was there for 5 races and hit 3 exactors (flat betting) by keying one horse and picking 4 other horses in 2 way exactors. I came home with enough cash to buy some dinner and beer at a half decent restaurant.Only if one of the favs would have finished 2nd and not 1st in one of my 3 wins... Oh well...

Keith, I will be backing Balt +3, Miami +3.5, Atl +1, Denver 3.5, and SF -6.5. Big card this week!

I think that Dallas will come through for you, but I just don't want to bet on Dallas or Minny. GL this weekend!
