October 24th

Kyoto 11th Race Kikuka-Sho...#1 Hiruno...The pace will always be a problem with this horse but the only fact that remains to handicap this track is this horse ran a 33.1 stretch time( the fastest to date this year of all ages) here on January 23rd...Came in 4th last time out which is not a concern.

The Wager..#1 with 2, 3, 8, 10, 17...¥1000 Each-Way Exacta
#2 with 1, 3, 8,10,15,17....¥1000 Random Box Trifecta
#1 with 3,8,10,15,17........¥1000 Random Box Trifecta

Hiruno was my Derby selection which if the track ran faster he could of one it( yes Monday morning critiquing) Reve is one of my favorite 3yr olds...i like they are and both side by side which they were both my derby contenders

I'm all over Hiruno. It will definitely be the horse I 'key' but I'm not feeling the love with Reve. I might mimic your bets but replace Reve with rosekingdom...
Let me know if you like any other horses in any of the other races as I'll be at the track in Kyoto all day. :)

I cant say there is anything i dislike about Kingdom..if you spoke to me in March Iv'e would of touted Rose at any length but I lost the mojo with him honestly..id think next weeks tenno would have suited him better at tokyo but who knows really what the trainers are thinking

Hiruno definitely has first-class closing speed (and that 33.1 was at Kyoto too) BUT he seems to be a horse that can't stay in top gear for too long. If he gets a good trip he definitely has a chance but I can't make him my favorite...Rose Kingdom gained 20kg over the summer and still won the tune-up for this race. Gotta figure he'll factor here. But for him too 3000 m isn't a plus. I'm going with Quark Star. He's shown an impressive long spurt in his last two races. His bloodline isn't that good but I think he's a stayer. I also think Big Week could surprise (not sure about that one though). Anyways, as of now picks are like this: 3-10, 1-3, 3-6, 3-17, and then Rose Kingdom in trios with 1, 3, 6, and 17.

Keith, I wish I had time to get to WINS tomorrow cuz I'd definitely shadow you on the #5 horse in the Fuji stakes. He looked awesome last time out. Hope you nail it.

Sean..i love the gamble on Quark Stark..i totally disagree with you on him as a key horse but to shade him against the favorites is admirable for sure..let me know if u want to bet anytime..send me an email..ill cover what ever u want to bet...i have a JRA account..please tell me earliest u can..before 7.00am as im out of the house and i dont check the blog again until evening

Thanks Keith, I'd definitely like to take you up on that offer at some point but right now I'm too tired to think straight. Plus I see that the Lille d'Aval seems to be the heavy favorite...I've studied up for Sunday's G1 so I'll just take my chances there. But thanks again.

Keith, I'll be in Kyoto all day Sunday.

Robert, There is nothing at Kyoto that Im betting other than the Kikka sho. Im having a flyer bet on #5 surplus singer in the 11th at Fukushima but a very quiet sunday all in all..

Crappy day on the gi again (0-3) preferred the 8 over the 6 for the very reason he won..Got a good feeling about next weeks Tenno however...Robert..got atlanta, SF, San Diego, and st.louis/Tampa bay Under 39
