Don't Look TWO Gift Horses In The Mouth Come This Christmas

How I would love to go the road less traveled route to an eventual huge end of the year payout by eliminating the two " power couple" of my tickets, but thankfully after cutting myself of the egg nog I've landed back to reality.

The only window of opportunity abet a very narrow one is if they don't come in one/two in the finish and get split up by some stretch closer?! The last time the Alima was run on Christmas, Zenno Rob Roy romped home in record time. I'm going to spread some extra holiday magic on his son, Pelusa , doing the same and resurrect his career off his dismal finish in the Japan Cup.

"Fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again!" I love that quote. lol! That being said, I really don't think any of us should leave out Tosen Jordan. 3 times lucky?! I also can't possibly discount Pisa, even after his last performance, as he absolutely owns Nakayama. I am going to be backing 1, 2, 9, 10 in some gate bets and trifectas. GL!

Hey guys, thanks for the info Todd. I heard it on the radio this afternoon. Probably for the best anyways. Robert, yeah its risky to leave off those two for sure but Im not going to play it very seriously now as it seems you have to be almost perfect to play anything short with 1 and 9. Ill just keep the 20-1 horses Rose, Hiru hopeful longshots and maybe a surprise with Take Yutaka's ride or a To The Glory wire to wire effort. Ill finish the year( thankfully with #1 Blue line and #3 wheel Exacta Box with 4 other horses . God luck & merry christmas

Too bad about Pelusa. Keith, maybe the horseracing gods are telling you to go all in on Buena and Orfevre. I considered putting 50 on a 1-6 gate but I don't quite believe Buena is a safe bet...
Instead I'm spreading it out.
Trio formation:
9- 1, 3, 12 - 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 13
Trifecta formation:
9 - 1, 3, 5, 12 - 1, 3, 5, 12
Random exactas:
10-9, 10-1, 3-1, 7-9, 3-10, 3-5
Random trios:
1-3-12, 1-3-5, 7-9-10
It should be a fun race. Good luck and Merry X-mas.

Otsukaresama, Buena! I'm not tearing up like the guy on Fuji TV did but, hey, she was one of the greats...and two years ago she made me a lot of money so I honor her.

Today's pace was bizarrely slow. Earnestly didn't wanna take the lead - you could see his jockey stay wide hoping somebody else would take the initiative but nobody accommodated him and that's what doomed him. I lost sadly - hate to lose the Arima - but I got half back on an insurance gate. Kicking myself as usual cuz I was debating whether to push Hiruno or Flash in my trio formation - they both seemed about equal to me - but Hiruno was offering slightly better odds so greed once again got the better of me.
Anyways, it's been fun. Thanks Keith and everyone else. Enjoy the holidays and see ya next year!

Just getting up* barely, I hope everyone had a profitable holiday or at least ate well. Just looking on paper on any given day and seeing where a Orivell and Flash 1&2 Trifecta paid 70,000, u would say what planet?* and the winners trainers other horse came in 3rd. lol..sure seems like a very winnable ticket. Sean, yeah I know the feeling. Anytime someone ask me about my keiba results its always Did you win the Arima? and its an all year long thingy..Almost closed out the season well but didnt put the 9 with my 3. Decided to try Kokura for the final race and had 2 Sandaphone with a wheel. I was at the OTB in shinjuku but running low on cash so I was going to phone my bets in. I couldn't connect to the PAT system number as probably everyone was doing as I. Anyways I got shut out. And wouldnt you know it but I would have LOST!! Not exactly a great way to end the year but we have to take these victory-lite moments when we can.
