Turquoise Stakes

Nakayama 11 Race: #9 Ginza Bonanza....Between July 2nd and August 20th, Bonanza hit the boards at three different tracks and at three different distances. Particular enlightening is the July 2nd 1600 m race at Nakayama where she tuned in at 1.32.9, which if repeated can put her back on the boards after two " off races".

The Wager: #9 with 6,8,11,12,14 ¥2000 Each-Way Exacta

THE JAPAN CUP DIRT
Hanshin 11 Race

#9 Wonder Acute...4th last time out off a record race time in May. Getting 18-1 on a horse that has five career wins in Hanshin and all with the same jock on his back.

The Wager #9 with 6,16 ¥3000 Each-Way
6,9,16 & 6,9,16 & 6,9,16 ¥1000 Straight Trifectas

Hanshin 10th race..#11 Suzuki Scorpion
The Wager: #11 with 7,9,12 15 ¥1000 Each-Way Exacta

My friend just got me 6-1 on Transcend and 9-1 on Espoir City through an Australian bookie. I bet on the quinella as well but don't know the odds yet...

Nice hit on the G1, Keith. I got the trio for a modest win but lost on my trifectas. Went for the sandwich with 6 on top and 16 on the bottom with 9, 11 and 13 in between. No real reason I went with 6 over 16 except that the odds were better. Should've went both ways. More half-assed staking...But good call on Wonder - horses for courses, yeah?

Robert, you got unbelievable odds! Next time, can we get in on that? Pretty please.

They were awesome win odds indeed but I lost the quinella by a nose so an absolute huge winning day turned into just a really nice profit. 9-16 was over 50-1 so I just can't feel that good about my win... Ridiculous odds though eh?!

I just watched the race for the first time and even though it was close it really really looks like Espoir City took 2nd. Did anyone actually see the photo finish?? I've watched it on replay about 20 times and a meter from the line 9's nose is at 6's ears and just past the line 9's jockey's ass is behind 6's jockey's ass. Hmmm...
