The Antics Of Fateful War

Here is a blog post from fellow racing enthusiast and professional racing photographer Kate Hunter on her first hand accounts on the playfulness and spunk of War.

Wow! I've seen plenty of horses run amok before a race but that's the first time I've seen one go on to win. He could be special. I hope he doesn't get up to any antics on Sunday though...

Fateful Woah! Looks like this colt could either burry the field or pull a U-turn and head back to the stables to chat up some fillies. Like Charlie Sheen, Fateful War is winning!
Anyways, back to the East Side, right? I bet Tokyo will have a good turnout. The Milers Cup last Sunday... took a couple days to get over that. Had Silport and four out of the top five capped (even 7) Friday afternoon, but on my way to WINS Sunday I started to doubt my choices, looked at the odds, etc. And when I got there...yada, yada, yada. Probably best to make all your choices on horses & money before heading out the door and stick to them. We'll see if I can get my mojo back.

Hello Gentleman, It's my first time to post. My name is Todd and I live in the Tokyo area.

It's been a lot of fun reading the comments here over the past few months and although I'm a rookie when it comes to handicapping I enjoy the hobby quite a bit.

I'll be betting on the race this Sunday - how cool would it be if Fateful War comes through? That is one impressive horse!

Welcome Todd, I too was an advocate for beer until I got gout last year. Ouch!! I like the Satsuki more because it determines the Derby winner more than anything else on its own race merits. Compared to last years this crop is " Average"? Im getting off War somewhat just because of the surface conditions which is looking to be heavy come Sunday and his better than expected work-out lines this week* yes, that doesn't seem to make sense I know :). I think thwe Deby winner might indeed come from this lot but not the top 3 finishers , so in a strange way Im kinda hoping War comes in 6th or 7th and have Shadai pay the extra juice to get him qualified for the Derby. That would be of most interest. Later

Been kicking horses off my short list and then back on. Pretty much decided Im not gonna spread my ticket package out too thin. I could box 5 horses and easily see THAT 6 horse coming in to break up my combination. Focused on the pedigree dosage index on a heavy track and in a very small sample Deep Impacts have shown consistent good results. #16 Tosen Ra will be my "go" horse. Will spend tomorrow isolating a few ticket plays with him

In an attempt to explore different kinds of wagers I am going with these two...
Tokyo 4/23 GII:
Trifecta (Wheel) マルチ
Bank 5&9 w/ (1,2,3,4,7) Bank 5&12 w/ (1,2,3,4,7) Bank 9&12 w/ (1,2,3,4,7) each @ ¥100
Tokyo 4/24 GI:
Trifecta (Wheel) マルチ Bank 1&4 w/ (5,6,9,12,15) Bank 1&17w/(5,6,9,12,15) Bank 4&17w/(5,6,9,12,15) each @ ¥100
Even though I have a hard time saying this name, I'm really liking Sadamu Patek Sunday. I'll make a few other wagers, but I felt the need to give JRA & Co. ¥18k in Trifectas right off the bat!
Love that reverse jinx... Or do I hate it? Damn it!

Hey Keith, you have gout?! So do I. My dad said he had it in his 30s and right on cue, BAM! I get it in my feet & hands. Waking up in the middle of the night in intense pain? Yep, been there done that. I know it sucks, but check this link http://bit.ly/gC3Ut7 Black Cherry Extract. I take it before-after I go out & tie one on. I know everyone reacts to meds/vits in different ways, but it's worth a shot for bottle at 10 bucks.
