Nice strike, Keith. Aventura was definitely the way to go. If any horse was gonna beat Whale it was definitely her. And I was all over her except I left out 1...I just don't get it sometimes. The 1 horse finished a strong third in the Rose Stakes but she was clearly out of gas at the line and that was with a really slow pace. She seemed much more comfortable at the mile and even stronger at 1400. 2000? Even at Kyoto and with an inside gate I thought it was unlikely. Wish I'd been right too because I really liked 13 - thought she was way undervalued. She ran a very strong fourth too but it got me nothing but frustration. Oh well, I guess the lesson is not to worry to much about distance - if it's a quality horse put it on your ticket.
No way we can lose next week, right? Fateful War all the way!

Thanks sean, I couldnt really pull the trigger on the race because Im not a big fan of whale capture but i didnt want to bet against her either but im glad #1 came in to give me some resemblance of a payback. I myself an not sure why I included 1 but like Saturday I included a 35-1 shot which nearly came in. I classify these horses as " Shit happens" and am willing to spend an extra few thousand to include them rather than get left out of a potential big payday. I guess if you can narrow down the top horse then the rest should just be frosting on the cake meaning you might as well cover as many layers as possible lol...Next week..What time should we leave for Kyoto ;)..This race sure got here quick. Fateful will always be the bug in my shorts now since I got off him last race and he came in with those odds..I like to stick with my horses,Jack smile absolute, Target..it still burns me.

Just got word from my friend that Target was nominated for the Kikka and will get a spot. I still scratch my head how he is determined to run at the same class ?? It will be a whopper of a ticket though

scratch that...he is apparently nominated just for a potential race this weekend...10th Tokyo

I don't see Target nominated for any race in Tokyo...But Absolute is back to either fatten or steal your wallet.

One of these days we'll make it...Will bet Absolute of course today but not going to make it a blog post. Tomorrow there is a few other races that I like and also there is the Kikka.
