Hello Keith,
I hope that you are having a good weekend. Is there any reason that you are leaving out Hikaru in the Himba Stakes? I'm still waiting on the odds to see if it's worth it, but I'm leaning towards boxing 7,8,12&13 in an exacta box.

The Negishi stakes looks like it is a bit of a crap shoot, but the odds are looking pretty tasty. Any leans on that race?

Hikaru never did well in my Pace simulator with #7 winning or coming in second ( which actually doesn't mean a whole lot)..but I got sold if 7 comes in 8 wont be there and visa verse. The Negishi looks exactly like a crap shoot. I saw the Newspaper Keiba 8 and there were 7 different horses selected to win by their writers. I was thinking #3 TM but I'll see how it goes. I've been a little under the weather since yesterday for some reason, hence the abbreviated write up on my blog selections.

Keith, I wouldn't mind getting in on the Kyoto main if you could cover me again.

Kyoto 11 R

I wanna box 8,11, and 13 in 2000 each way exactas (12,000 in total).

And 11-12-13 2000 trio
13-11-12 1000 straight trifecta
11-13-12 1000 straight trifecta

Finally I'll try
7-11-13
8-11-12
11-13-16
12-13-16 all 1000 trios (total wager of 20,000)

Cheers if you can cover that. As I said, as soon as I get back to Tokyo I'll send you the 45. (So please send your bank info in the sad event that I lose tomorrow).

I am sorry to hear that you are not feeling well Keith. Rest up!

I am playing the 11R in Kyoto this way.
8=12, 8=13, 12=13, 8-3, 8-7, 12-3, 12-7, 13-3, 13-7 for 12,000 total.

I've decided to back Success Brocken. He hasn't run in nearly a year, it is a new distance for him, and his form is questionable, but he has one of the best jockey's on his mount, and he has won a G1 and took 3rd in a G1 at this time of year for the past 2 years.

12 with 1,3,5,6,8,9,10,11,12 1000 yen Quintellas. (9,000 total). I am looking at betting it in each way exactas, but I think that might be a little too crazy. :)

Adding 12 with 7 because of Goto. Total bet on Success Brocken 10,000 to win anywhere from 30,000 to 550,000 yen. :O

sean..Bets are on . The revised addition. Robert* thanks for the well wishes but just one of those 24 hr winter colds I hope. I think if 8 Hikaru comes in u got it!..I couldnt get my mind in focus for tokyo but good luck. Succsess Broken was regarded as one of the best dirt horses for the longest time..he is due

Robert,Since I will be home nursing a cold I figure I'll make a few " fun Bets" to occupy my time. The 11th in Tokyo I'm thinking along the same as you, potential nice return...Dutching 5 and 11 ( 3-5,5-6,5-7,5-11,5-12, 3-11,6-11,7-11,11-12 ( ¥500 each way exacta...if I can get my earlier race and Arion Harp in the 10th I'll boast it to ¥1000...BTW and betting the steelers in the Super Bowl straight up without the points. I think the spread is irrelevant this year no matter which team u pick I think.

Hopefully 11-12 his for us! After examining the odds, I'm going to bet Success Brocken on a series of each-way exactas. The payout is better that way. GL today!

I also like the Steelers to hoist the SB. I took them at +3 (-118) at Matchbook just to be safe though.

Just woke up and watched the race. Nifty little run by Shoryu Moon. Damn, I included her in my revised picks but wasn't ballsy enough to make her my favorite. In retrospect, it's not that surprising. A horse that can beat Apapane - it was only a matter of time. We should've been on that one boys. Oh well...Keith, send me your bank details when you have time.

Keith Hagstrom said...

Yeah, shoryo moon is a 10-1 price I usually like but it wouldnt of made a difference without my 7 there..i was more pissed at myself over tokyo a race i didnt even like until this morning..when you get a 60-1 and 9-1 to come in but fail to put a 3-1 in ur ticket..but I was actually going for a big payout so i guess i cant beat myself up too bad..that was the stratagy going in.

robert said...

Yeah, it was a pretty bad day yesterday... Let's get'em next time!

robert said...

So Keith, are you back to 100% yet?

Just in case you are interested, you can get the Steelers +3 at -109 at willhill.com now! :O

Keith Hagstrom said...

Thanks Robert, yeah the line has pretty much settled. I dont see it moving off the 3. The o/u is still maturing though. Im studying the prop bets now...My narrative of the game is that the Steelers will pull away in the second half. so im looking at Green Bay losing more fumbles/interceptions than the steelers..etc, basically a dominant pitt defense in the 3rd and 4th quarters...31-17 kinda game
