Hate Mail Senders...sorry

The problem about making your selections public is that you can easily go from a hero to " sleaze on a side walk"in a matter of races. Truthfully I know during the big races that the traffic jumps on this blog and I really want to give out some winners, but unfortunately it didn't happen today!. There was something about #8 Rose Kingdom that didn't feel right, and my gambling instincts told me to BUY BUY BUY...but.. so basically I really sucked today! Summer is coming and this blog will start becoming as popular as a Knight Rider re-run, but please do come back in the Autumn. Believe it or not I do sometimes tout a winner! Also I hope I didn't turn people off Rose Kingdom because of the previous post this week..it was basically (now proven) a warning too all that something strange was in the air. This was " stable connections" at its best " shading for a price" and I failed to take advantage of it! Apologies once again!

Thanks, Keith. Unfortunately, that was the only bet I won yesterday...I had Flash & Kingdom in trios with Pisa and Hiruno but like you I ignored the signs that (in retrospect anyways) were saying this might be the best time to buy Rose Kingdom. And what a ridiculously slow pace (Reve never had a chance coming off that pace)...Oh well, the G1s at Tokyo have been particularly difficult this year. Yasuda doesn't look any easier.

I sent you an email concerning our wager.

I am leaning heavily towards Fellowship for the Yasuda Kinen. Just started doing my research for the race, but Reach the Crown and Triumph March also look pretty intriguing. Got to like Triumph March's finishing pace (fastest final 3 furlongs this season) at the Tokyo track.
Any leans for you boys yet?

I admittedly don't know much about the Hong Kong horses but after watching Fellowship on YouTube I can't say I like his chances. He's not a superstar like Good Ba Ba and horses that run off the pace like him are going to need a blistering pace (think this year's NHK Mile Cup) to factor. But who knows...

I put in a lot of wagers for a Hong Kong syndicate here, but even they couldn't tout their own horses with much confidence..ill look at it more on Wednesday..i like to get a feel for the dirt races first and the turf later in the week

Hey! Here is a little food for thought. I love stats so I found this article interesting. http://japanracing.jp/_news2010/100531.html
We won't know who the favs are until a few more days so I can't look at all the trends yet, but according to the stats, here are the following horses that historically have the best chance to win or place.
Meiner Faulker- Positives according to the trends: 1. Came 2nd in a G1 in its last 5 starts. 2. Came 2nd in its last start. 3. Last start was 1600m.
Beauty Flash- Positives according to the trends: 1. Came 3rd in a G1 in its last 5 starts. 2. Came 3rd in its last start. 3. Last start was 1600m.
Fellowship- Positives according to the trends: 1. Came in 2nd and 3rd in 2 G1 races over its last 5 starts. 2. Came in 2nd in its last start. 3. Last start was 1600m. Negative: Its 8 years old.
Horses that fit 2 trends include: Captain Thule, Triumph March, Maruka Phoenix, A Shin Forward, and Faridat (Questionable form as of late though)

Faulker?! Been watching to many movies lately, I guess.
I still like Reach the Crown so I have narrowed it down to 8 horses. I'm looking forward to your analysis later on in the week.
