Keith, do you perhaps mean 13 rather than 12?

Not sure how I'm gonna play it yet but high on 1, 13, 14 and 17.

thanks sean, I corrected it. How stupid!! mistakenly putting the longest odds horse instead of the shortest. I was kinda in a discouraging mood when I was posting it so I'm not surprised i put the wrong horse down.

Yeah, I can understand your mood. It sucks to lose 200,000. You'll get it back though, you always do...

Dont really like tomorrow's G1 but I'll box 1, 13, 14 and 17 with 1000 yen each way exactas. Really think Ivy League could factor so I'll also do 1-14-17 and 1-13-14 in random trios at 3000 a pop.

Hey guys, been while. Don't worry, I've been paying my "dues."
Today I got two Trifectas in 3&13 w/ 1,4,5,8,11,17,18 and for fun 9&11 w/ 7,10,15. Plus boxing 3,4,8,13,17 Wide. Pray that Grand Prix Boss is an Eishin Osman.

Considering my luck lately, I should probably be boxing too, but I'm going to put my faith in Grand Prix Boss. I'm taking 13 with 1,3,8,14&17 for ¥3000 each (depending on the odds, I'm either playing quintellas for ¥3000 or each-way exactas for ¥2000/1000). I'm also sprinkling a little on 13 with 9(¥1000) and 2&7 gates(¥1500).As insurance, I'm playing 3,8&17 in a boxed quintella for ¥3000 total and 1 with 3&8 for ¥500 each. Finally, I'm going to put ¥500 on 2-13,5,13,&11-13 wides for a total wager of ¥23,000. GL boys!

There we go boys! I over-bet the race, but I doubled my money. Finally going home with a smile on my face!

congrats boys. I think Boss made everyone a winner today. I was tap out for the weekend so I couldnt really bet that much at all. Should have pulled the trigger today instead of yesterday. I'll probably be boxing here on out until the Derby.

I don't get too elated when the first and second favorites come in unless I've bet heavily on them but a win is a win I guess. Good on you Robert for being bold. Let's keep it going. Next week we've got Buena and Apapane so it should be eminently winnable.

For the Derby, I'll definitely be boxing 4 or maybe even 5 horses. It's gonna be totally wide open and the odds should make it pretty profitable to box... I was so confident about GPB, I probably should've just put all my cash on him to win. Oh well... It'll be interesting to see which race they enter him in in England. Yahagi talked the foreign jockeys (Williams) up before the race. In all the big races GPB has won he has had a foreign jockey aboard. Do you think they might just be better at positioning and holding a horse back to give them the best chance to make a run?? Recently, Ando, Ikee and some of the foreign jockeys like Williams have been doing well with the 3 year olds... Something to consider??

Just read my post again and although I'm positive you know what I mean it is a little unclear... Ando and (Japanese) along with some of the foreign jockeys have been having success with the 3 year olds... :)

I'm thinking about how to play the Victoria Mile. The only way to get a sweet return on this would be to go for a trifecta like this*
First - Apapane
second - Insert Horse's name
Third - Buena Vista

The odds on an Apapane-Buena quinella will be about 2.4, 2.8 tops?

For the Victoria Mile, I'm probably going to do one of two things... 1. Not bet it or 2. Bet the obvious, Buena & Apapane. I'm strongly leaning towards the first option. :)

For Victoria Mile, if they all draw half decent gates, I'm thinking it's gonna be Buena, Apapane& Shoryu Moon. Not confident on the order yet though...

Not sure if Shoryu Moon can handle Tokyo but she's got first-class legs, no doubt about it. I like Apricot Fizz as a (big) longshot but I'm starting to think that passing on this one is the smart play. Although if I had a million yen to play with I'd put it on Apapane to place...
